Sales Commission & Transaction Policies

Commission Rates

  • 10% commission on items selling for $1,000 or more.

  • 13% commission on items priced under $1,000.

  • Maximum commission per item: $6,000.

  • For items sold outside the United States, the commission may be slightly higher due to international bank transfer fees.

  • All commissions are deducted from the selling price after the buyer approves the purchase.

Listing & Selling Requirements

  • There is no charge to list equipment on this website.

  • To sell an item, you must complete an online ad form.

  • There is no time limit for how long your item can remain listed.

  • Broken or non-working equipment is not accepted.

  • Sellers are free to set their own price and accept or decline any offers.

Buyer Payment Options

Buyers will receive an invoice and may pay using:

  • ACH transfer (no fee)

  • Credit or debit card (2.9% fee)

  • PayPal

  • Bank wire transfer, recommended for high-value items such as vehicles

Once the invoice is paid, funds are held in escrow, and the seller is notified to ship the item.

Shipping Responsibilities

  • The seller is responsible for all packaging, shipping, and insurance costs.

  • Any damage during shipping is the seller’s responsibility, unless the buyer explicitly agrees to assume responsibility.

  • If the item is being picked up in person, the buyer must first pay a refundable deposit.

If both parties agree, the buyer may assume full responsibility for shipping, provided this is clearly stated in the written agreement or offer.

Inspection Period

  • The buyer has 4 full business days to inspect and approve the equipment.

  • For higher-value items, the inspection period may be extended to 7 days.

After approval, the seller will receive their payment minus the website commission.

Return Policy

  • If the buyer returns an item for personal reasons (not because of a defect), the buyer pays the return shipping costs.

  • If the item is not working or misrepresented, the seller must pay the return shipping cost.

Warranty Disclaimer

This website does not provide any warranties or guarantees on items sold. All sales are between the buyer and seller under the terms described above.

Example Transactions

1. Shipped Equipment Example

The equipment is listed for $1,350.00, with shipping at $100.00, for a total invoice of $1,450.00.
Once payment is received, the seller will ship the equipment to the buyer.

The buyer will have up to 4 full business days to inspect and confirm that the equipment is in proper working condition. For higher-value equipment, the inspection period may be extended to 7 consecutive days.

After the buyer approves the equipment, the seller will be paid minus the website sales fee.

Example Calculation:

  • Total Invoice Amount: $1,450.00

  • Website Fee (10%): $145.00

  • Net Payment to Seller: $1,305.00

2. Local Pickup Example

In this example, the equipment is priced at $5,000.00.

Because the buyer must pick up the equipment in person, they will be invoiced for a refundable 10% deposit. After this deposit is paid, both the buyer and seller will receive each other’s contact information to arrange an inspection and pickup time.

If the buyer is satisfied with the equipment, they will pay the seller the remaining balance in person. For expensive equipment, such as a vehicle, we strongly recommend using a bank wire transfer. Cash or a cashier’s check is acceptable for smaller purchases.

Once payment is made and the equipment is removed from the seller’s property, the transaction is complete, and the deposit becomes the website’s sales commission.

If the buyer is not satisfied upon inspection and chooses not to purchase the equipment, the entire deposit will be refunded.

Example Calculation:

  • Total Price: $5,000.00

  • Deposit (10%): $500.00

  • Net Payment to Seller: $4,500.00
