Reason for Sale: Pivot of my company

I am a solo internist and I've done extensive scoping, so I'm happy to be a resource as they get the equipment running. I am pivoting my business to focus more on teaching and coaching, which is why I'm attempting to sell.

The bronchoscope has standard flexion capabilities: 180° upward and 130° downward. The bronchoscope and the rigid scope are about brand new, each having been used only twice.

A mobile endoscopy unit is available.

There are three cameras: a medium-ish GI scope, a bronchoscope, and a rigid scope. MDS, through MAI Animal Health, manufactures the cameras; the parent company is Aohua. Currently, they have a contract with VEG and place all their scopes there.

The setup includes a Pelican case, a suction unit, and current accessories and supplies.

  • The GI scope is 8 mm x 150 cm, 2.8 mm channel

  • The bronch is 6 mm x 100 cm, 2.0 mm channel

  • The rigid is 2.7 mm x 175 mm, 30*, with sheaths, a trocar and two forceps.

Cat Vet questions and answers from the seller:

  1. Seems like the rigid and gi scope are decent size for cats- have you used that size for bronchi in cats?

The bronchoscope is good for retroflexion over the soft palate in cats; the GI scope is a great size for cats, but upper and lower endoscopy, the rigid camera may not be as useful for cats, especially in the nose of small cats

  2. Do you do a good bit of endoscopy in cats?  Yes

  3. Has it been easy to find someone to perform maintenance on this equipment?  It hasn't needed repair, the company has been pretty good so far with questions and some virtual support on the video processor and streamlining workflow

  4. Does it come with training for support staff on how to care for the equipment? Not through the company, they do maintain a YouTube channel that has some helpful videos

  5. Is there fogging on the endoscopic lens? There is no fogging; the picture on the monitor is very clear. Sometimes mucous on the lens inside the pet requires using the water function to "squirt it off." I think the images may look a little foggy due to the artifact of "picture of a picture of a picture."

  6. What is the reason for selling? Low case load in my area

  7. The bronch is perfect for retroflexion in a cat.
