Heska Cuattro Hub DR and Ultrasound system.** (NOT SELLING SEPARATELY)**

Hub and wireless 10x13” detector plate are brand new, upgraded in December 2022.

  • Includes Sonoslate wireless ultrasound probe ($10,000 new)
  • 2012 Orange EcoRay Ultra Light 9020HF generator (wired)
  • Detector tunnel
  • Stand-off
  • Two different carrying cases
  • Two lead gowns
  • Two hoof blocks

The hoof blocks are round and do look like 4 separate pieces but they are two - they have ‘lazy Susan’ type hardware so the horse can slightly rotate to a natural stance.

Both the detector plate and ultrasound probe have 2 batteries and everything works perfectly.

About a warranty going forward. This information is from Heska customer service:

  • There is a simple $500 re-licensing fee to have the equipment’s data updated to the new practice name.

  • If they are planning on uploading images to the cloud then there would be a one-time DICOM node fee of $1500 (optional).

  • We can also do a system clean up where we re-image the drive for $250, and wipe all the old images and do a fresh install of the software (optional).

  • If the customer wants specific training on our software, the fee is $500 (optional).

You can either use the Heska Cloud server to store your dicom images but honestly, I was never that impressed with their website. I preferred to use ANTECH, but you can also look for other storage sites as well, I believe Idexx is another option. You certainly don’t need to have offsite storage, I have a colleague that practices nearby that has never set that up. The only downside is if you are going to send images off for radiologist review they prefer the dicom format and the files are too large to email generally. Once you do decide if you want Dicom storage I believe whoever you are working with can easily remote into with the system and set it up so you can send the images over Wi-Fi. The tablet will store your images and it has tons of storage capability. My neighboring colleague has had his or four years and he has never filled it. I had my previous tablet for five years and never deleted any studies and I had plenty of space left on it when I traded it in for this one. One suggestion you may want to consider is bundling image storage with whoever you do your laboratory work with, not necessary but sometimes it gives you a price break.
